Grace MacNair is a poet, teacher, and healthcare professional. Born and raised in North Carolina, she lives in Brooklyn, NY. She holds a BA from UNC Chapel Hill and an MFA from Hunter College.
In addition to teaching creative writing at Hunter College, Grace has taught summer programs at Barnard College and was a regular substitute lecturer at UNC Chapel Hill. Grace currently teaches poetry privately and online to adults and K-12 students at The ArtsCenter.
Grace has received support from Brooklyn Poets and research grants from Hunter College. She was an honorable mention in the 2019 NC State Poetry Contest judged by Ada Limón, received a High Commendation in the 2020 Ledbury Poetry Festival Poetry Competition, and is a recipient of a 2020 Monson Arts residency and fellowship. Her work has appeared in The Threepenny Review and is forthcoming from Battery Journal.
